Christopher Lewis is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Building Contractor specializing in transportation engineering, roadway construction practices, infrastructure program management, and building construction practices. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University.
Mr. Lewis has 19 years of professional experience in civil engineering, transportation program management, roadway construction, and infrastructure operations across both the public and private sectors. He currently serves as Director of the Forecasting and Performance Office for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) where he oversees statewide transportation project performance, forecasting, project cost management, and program delivery coordination.
Mr. Lewis founded in 2014 and has led the development and growth of C.S. Lewis Construction, LLC since its inception. In this role, he manages residential and commercial construction projects involving structural modifications, building additions, and site development activities. He has extensive experience with complex construction projects involving structural beam installations, load-bearing wall modifications, foundation work, and site development improvements. His work frequently requires detailed coordination with engineers, architects, inspectors, and local permitting authorities to ensure structural integrity, safety,
and full compliance with the Florida Building Code.
Mr. Lewis’ primary practice areas include transportation engineering, roadway construction practices, project cost forecasting, infrastructure program management, maintenance of traffic, highway signing and pavement markings, traffic signalization systems, construction cost estimating, and building construction and compliance.
