Failure Analysis

Failures may occur from a variety of different reasons including design defects, maintenance issues, fatigue, and/or improper use. We apply scientific methods and principles to determine failure mechanisms. This includes determining the causes, events, and prevention of the failure. Some common projects include analyzing wheel assemblies, tires, steering and braking systems, handrails, guardrails, pressure vessels, and other mechanical systems.
